Introduction to the Rankings Observatory
What are rankings?
University rankings are lists of higher education institutions that are classified according to a common set of indicators and ranked according to their results.
What will you find in this Observatory?
This observatory provides information on the rankings that are best known because of their prestige or their prominence in the media, and on the UPC’s position in these rankings as a function of geographical and/or thematic classification parameters.
Because each ranking uses its own methodology, system of indicators and weighting coefficient, the Observatory aims to present each one’s particular traits and results in a clear, schematic way, edition by edition. Related news items and documents are also available.
A brief overview of the UPC’s results in recent editions is shown in the table below.
