This ranking uses indicators of academic and research quality to classify the best universities in the world. The indicators include the number of Nobel prizes that have been awarded to its graduates and faculty and the number of highly cited researchers. These variables account for up to 50% of the total value in the general classification.
In the 2023 edition, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya remains in the 701-800 band in the general classification.
