The Academic Ranking of World Universities classifies top global universities according to indicators that measure their academic and research quality, such as the number of Nobel laureates among its academics and graduates and the number of Highly Cited Researchers ranked in the annual Clarivate list.
In the 2024 edition, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya has been ranked in the 801–900 band in the general classification.
